Expectations - striving for excellence, encouraging others, innovative, accountable, honesty.

Cultural

Kapahaka

Kapahaka plays an integral part in the school particularly during formal occasions. The group has numerous opportunities to rehearse and perform in the school and during local events primarily for entertainment before moving onto competition level. The Tainui Regional Kapahaka and Te Nehenehenui Tribal competitions are the pinnacle for kapahaka. Each year participants are judged and moderated for their performance resulting in NCEA credits at an appropriate level, usually Level 2 with Excellence or Merit.

Sports

Every student enjoys competition of any form. There are many opportunities for students at Te Kuiti High School to experience competition and this can be done internally, locally, nationally and occasionally, internationally.

Waka Ama, Swimming, Touch Rugby, Athletics and Ki-o-rahi

Winter

Hauraki Plains College

Te Kuiti High School has a long standing association with Hauraki Plains College and each year a sports exchange takes place with each school alternating the visit. Each sport code during the exchange is always well contested.
